In order to explore the conditions in different sea areas of wind farms, the East China Research Institute of Power China has five self-built self-elevating exploration platforms to "diagnose and feel the pulse" of sea conditions in different water depths. Provide high-end equipment protection.

They are "Huadong Yard No. 1" with a water depth of 15 meters, "Huadong Yard No. 2" and "Huadong Yard No. 3" with a water depth of 35 meters. , the "Huadong Yard 306" platform with a water depth of 55 meters, and the "Huadong Yard 308" platform with a water depth of 75 meters that is about to be put into operation.

Among them, the "Huadong Yard 306" platform will be put into operation in 2020. Its platform working deck area reaches 1,000 square meters, equivalent to the area of ​​more than two basketball courts. It is used for maritime survey and scientific research. The test provides sufficient space and can carry out high-precision positioning and exploration operations normally in winds of level 8 and below.

"East China Institute No. 308" is currently the largest and most advanced comprehensive marine new energy exploration platform in China. It can achieve a positioning accuracy of 50 centimeters within a range of dozens of square kilometers. , the operating area can cover wind farms in various sea areas planned in my country.

In the field of offshore wind power development and construction, wind farms 65 kilometers offshore or 50 meters deep are usually called deep-sea wind farms. If "Huadong Yard No. 306" is the beginning of going to the deep sea, then No. 308 will lead the development of offshore wind power to go deeper and further.
