The "Great Wall" under the sea! Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel Lingdingyang Bridge begins steel deck paving: it will be opened to traffic next year

At present, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel is making every effort to promote the construction of the immersed tube tunnel and ancillary projects, striving to achieve the completion of the main line in late November.

It is planned to complete the steel bridge deck paving of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel early next year, creating conditions for its completion and opening to traffic in 2024.

Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor is a world-class "bridge, island, tunnel and underground interconnection" cluster project. It was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission at the end of 2015. On December 28, 2016 Construction begins.

This is a bridge in Guangdong Province connecting Shenzhen City and Zhongshan City as well as Nansha District of Guangzhou City. It starts from Hezhou Interchange in Baoan District, Shenzhen City in the east and ends at Hengmen Hub in Zhongshan City in the west. The entire length 24 kilometers, of which the undersea tunnel is about 6.8 kilometers long and the bridge project is about 17.2 kilometers long.

Among them, the undersea tunnel is about 6.8 kilometers long, including an immersed tube section of about 5 kilometers. It is composed of 32 pipe sections and 1 final joint. It is the world's first two-way eight-lane undersea immersed tube tunnel. .

After it is completed and opened to traffic, Zhongshan can be directly connected to Shenzhen across the river. The entire line will be constructed according to the two-way 8-lane highway standard. The design speed is 100km/h, and the journey will be reduced from the current two hours to half. Within hours, travel is more convenient.
