On the morning of November 5, the fully loaded Dexiang Shipping "Mundra" (TS MUNDRA) successfully berthed at the Haitian Terminal, marking the addition of Xiamen Port to a new "Belt and Road" route connecting major ports in my country, South Korea and Indonesia. . Up to now, Xiamen Port has opened 83 “Belt and Road” routes.
It is reported that the new route will be operated by four container liner companies, including Ocean Network Shipping, SITC Shipping, Dexiang Shipping and Nanxing Shipping. Along the way, the route calls at Qingdao Port, Shanghai Port, Ningbo Port, Jakarta Port, Surabaya Port in Indonesia, and Shekou Port, and then directly sails from Xiamen Port to Busan Port in South Korea.
This time, the Dexiang Shipping "Mundra" loaded and unloaded more than 700 TEUs at Xiamen Port, and loaded stone, ceramic tiles, clothing, shoes and hats, flowers and other goods, on November 1 The direct sailing to Busan Port will start on May 6th. The voyage takes about three days. It has a timeliness advantage compared with similar routes and further provides convenience for customers to ship goods.
The opening of the new route will further strengthen Xiamen Port’s foreign trade trunk network, help Xiamen Port deepen the construction of the “Belt and Road” and create a domestic and international dual-circulation hub node.
Relying on the "Belt and Road" initiative, RCEP and other core advantages, Xiamen Port has become an important container hub port on the southeast coast.
