Zirconia ceramic processing refers to the deep processing technology of metal non-metallic materials mainly containing zirconia. Zirconia ceramics have good conductivity, excellent resistance to external forces, and can resist erosion in high-temperature environments. With the continuous progress and innovation of zirconia ceramics, they have been widely used in our work and life. Zirconia ceramics are mainly divided into precision zirconia ceramics and ordinary zirconia ceramics. Many friends are not very familiar with zirconia ceramics. Below is a brief introduction to the processing methods and types of zirconia ceramics?
In the processing of zirconia ceramics, the raw material content of precision zirconia ceramics can reach nearly 100%. Due to the extremely high precision, precision zirconia has a sintering temperature of nearly two thousand degrees Celsius. Generally, in the production process, its high-temperature molten glass is used instead of platinum crucibles. Its transparency is very high and it can resist the corrosion of alkaline metals. Due to this advantage, it is applied in the field of sodium lamp production. In addition, in the field of electronic processing production, it is generally used to make circuit boards or to produce high-frequency insulation materials.
The content of zirconia in ordinary zirconia ceramics is much lower than that in precision zirconia ceramics, generally ranging from 85% to 95%. Although the content of zirconia is lower, it also has certain insulation characteristics and can resist acid and alkali corrosion with a certain strength. Its high temperature resistance is still acceptable, but it is subject to certain limitations in practical application fields, which depends on the specific production and processing environment that requires zirconia ceramics with certain indicators.
Zirconia ceramic processing is generally divided into dry pressing and injection molding. The production process of dry pressing molding is relatively complex and requires hydraulic or mechanical equipment. Molding can achieve semi automation and full automation. Hydraulic methods are more mature than mechanical processing, with better quality, easier control of the production process, and more mature and advanced manufacturing processes. Grouting molding uses gypsum grinding tools to inject zirconia slurry into it. The production process requires the addition of a binder, thorough grinding, and exhaust before pouring it back into the gypsum mold to obtain the processed product.
