11 lines are under construction and more than 49 lines are to be built
The latest survey data shows that there are 44 construction ceramic manufacturers in Guangxi, 113 ceramic tile (including foam ceramic) production lines, and a total daily production capacity of ceramic tiles of 2.279 million square meters (based on a 310-day production cycle, the annual production capacity reaches 706 million square meters), and the total daily production capacity of foam ceramics is 620m³.
Compared with 2017, although there are also production line withdrawals in Guangxi, the number of ceramic production lines has increased by 8, and the daily production capacity of ceramic tiles has increased by 239,000 square meters. This is mainly due to Mona Lisa, Oceano, Xiejin, Pure first-class Guangdong companies have settled in and put into operation. In addition, many companies such as Hekang, Ruiyuan, Aodajia, and Jinjin have also added new production lines, and the new production lines are all modern production lines with large production capacity.

Guangxi's counter-trend growth momentum has not stopped there. There are currently 11 production lines under construction in the region, and most of them are planned to be completed and put into production before the Spring Festival in 2021. It is expected that Guangxi will add more than 250,000 square meters of daily production capacity by then.
In addition, there are more than 49 production lines planned to be built in Guangxi, mainly concentrated in Teng County and Hezhou. Only three companies, Oceano, Jianyi and Chunyi, have 39 planned production lines to be built. .
It can be seen from the above data that the growth in the scale of Guangxi's architectural ceramics mainly comes from Teng County and Hezhou in Wuzhou. Teng County has made every effort to attract investment, undertaking the transfer and expansion of leading enterprises in the east, and has quickly become a "new hot spot" for investment in the ceramic industry. Many ceramic companies and supporting companies have rushed to settle in Teng County.

Chunyi Ceramics, located in Hezhou, put into production the first production line in July 2020, covering an area of 3,000 acres, and has a total plan to build 16 production lines.
In the past three years, Teng County has not only attracted three well-known Guangdong ceramics companies, including Oceano, Xiejin, and Mona Lisa, to build and put into production one after another. At the same time, the well-known enterprise Jianyi has also signed a contract to settle in Teng County to build a new production base. It is reported that Teng County plans to introduce two more first-line brand companies and a group of supporting companies to make Teng County's ceramic industry bigger and stronger.
Hezhou has also relied on its geographical advantages adjacent to Guangdong and the industrial planning of the autonomous region and Hezhou governments to create a good development environment for the healthy development of the building ceramics industry, attracting a number of companies to settle and continue to expand.
9 ceramic companies “resurrected”
Not only that, in the past three years, as many as 11 companies in Guangxi have suspended production for a long time and went bankrupt due to poor management. However, except for Duqiao Ceramics and Beiliu Yongda Ceramics in Rong County, Yulin, all other companies have been revitalized.
The above situation mainly occurs in Cenxi and Guiping. According to the "Ceramic Industry Long March" investigation team, a large number of suspended and bankrupt enterprises have been revitalized in the past two years. In addition to industrial adjustments in Guangdong and Fujian, Guangxi has become a new investment hot spot.
What’s more important is that the bankrupt companies in the two places involved a large number of bank loans, arrears of wages to workers, arrears of payments to suppliers, etc. The local governments were eager to solve the above problems and not only provided more preferential policies to the undertaking enterprises, but also reduced the undertaking costs at this time. It is also relatively at an all-time low, which is undoubtedly a big plus for investors who originally planned to look for production capacity.

Guangxi's architectural ceramics category currently focuses on glazed tiles, porcelain tiles, antique bricks, and exterior wall tiles, while new products such as medium boards, thick bricks, and permeable bricks have also been added.
What is particularly noteworthy is that the production capacity of glazed tiles in Guangxi is growing rapidly. Compared with 2017, there was a net increase of 14 glazed tile production lines, with a daily production capacity of 364,000 square meters, and a production capacity increase of as high as 223%. The growth in production capacity of glazed tiles is due to the fact that the newly added production lines are mainly glazed tiles. On the other hand, due to the shrinkage of the polished tile market, some polished tile production lines have been technically converted into glazed tile production lines.
Previously, the national porcelain tile market continued to slump, but Guangxi's porcelain tile production capacity was still growing against the trend. Although there was only a net increase of one production line, the production capacity increased by 110,000 square meters compared with 2017, and the production capacity increased by 13.17%. This is mainly because in the past three years, Guangxi has eliminated some old porcelain tile production lines with a daily production capacity of only 10,000 to 20,000 square meters. However, companies such as Oceano, Hekang, Aodajia, and Chunyi have added new porcelain tile lines with daily production capacity. Both exceed 40,000 square meters, among which Chunyi’s porcelain plant was put into production in July 2020.The daily production capacity of the tile production line is as high as 60,000 square meters, making it the ceramic tile production line with the largest production capacity in the country.

Polished tiles and exterior wall tiles are the ceramic tile categories that have seen the most significant decline in Guangxi in the past three years, which is consistent with the market trend. Among them, polished tiles still have 16 production lines in 2017, and their production capacity ranks second among the ceramic tiles in Guangxi, second only to porcelain tiles. But now there are only 8 polished tile production lines in Guangxi, and half of them will be idle in 2020.
Before 2017, exterior wall tiles were still one of the categories that bucked the trend of growth in Guangxi. However, in the past three years, due to policy and market influences, Guangxi’s exterior wall tile production capacity also shrank, and some were converted to produce small floor tiles and thick bricks. , medium board and other products. Only Hezhou's Jinjin Building Materials has added two new exterior wall tile production lines.
