On July 19, the National Energy Administration released national power industry statistics from January to June. As of the end of June, the country's installed power generation capacity was approximately 2.44 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power is approximately 340 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 17.2%; the installed capacity of solar power generation is approximately 340 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 25.8%.
From January to June, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 1,777 hours, 81 hours less than the same period last year. Among them, there were 2,057 hours of thermal power, 133 hours less than the same period last year; 3,673 hours of nuclear power, 132 hours less than the same period last year; and 1,154 hours of wind power, 58 hours less than the same period last year.
From January to June, the country’s major power generation companies completed investment of 215.8 billion yuan in power supply projects, a year-on-year increase of 14.0%. Among them, solar power generation was 63.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 283.6%. The investment in power grid projects was 190.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.9%.
