Release time:2024-08-26click:3
The ocean is a strategic location for high-quality development. This year’s Central Government Document No. 1 proposed the construction of modern marine ranches and the development of deep-sea and offshore farming such as deep-water cages and breeding work boats. In order to support the development of the marine economy, China Unicom has accelerated the construction of 5G networks on coastlines, offshore and far sea areas, improved marine network coverage issues, and relied on new technologies such as big data, cloud computing, Internet of Things and Beidou positioning to create innovations such as smart fishing vessel systems. Application to build a foundation for digital innovation in Guangdong’s marine economy.
“Let the world know about ‘Zhanyu’”
5G helps the fishery industry to transform and upgrade
Zhanjiang, located at the southernmost tip of mainland China, is a city that faces the sea and is rich in seafood resources. China Unicom guards more than 1,200 kilometers of mainland coastline and empowers more than 10,000 fishing boats to achieve integrated intelligent management, effectively ensuring the safety of fishermen while achieving growth and income.
With the help of innovative technologies such as deep-sea Internet of Things and satellite remote sensing, China Unicom has built a Zhanjiang deep-sea cage big data system platform and built sub-systems such as deep-sea big data, global logistics, and online VR display. , remote and real-time transmission of live video of deep-sea cage farming and data collected by sensors such as salinity, dissolved oxygen, and pH value of the breeding environment to realize intelligent deep-sea cage farming.
At the same time, through the construction of deep-sea aquaculture monitoring and management, public services throughout the industry chain, regional brand promotion, deep-sea aquaculture big data, and "smart fishery" demonstrations, we will promote marine environmental protection and marine fisheries. Production, fishery product promotion, and "Zhanyu" brand building empower Zhanjiang's leading fishery companies to implement information-based operations, cultivate high-quality aquatic products, let the world know the "Zhanyu" brand, and taste the world-class seafood produced in Zhanjiang.
Safely go out to sea and break the waves
5G empowers fishing boats to travel safely and efficiently
Yangjiang has a coastline of 458.6 kilometers, and marine fishery is one of the important local industries. How to manage fishing boats well and protect the safety of fishermen at sea has become a difficult problem faced by the local government.
China Unicom and Huawei have built the country’s first 5G marine private network + 5G digital fishing boat system solution in YangjiangThe solution achieves a 61.5-kilometer sea area and can still maintain access capabilities of 60Mbps downlink and 2Mbps uplink, providing solid network protection for marine economies such as fishing and marine ranching.
On this basis, the 5G digital fishing vessel system uses a variety of technologies such as 5G, cloud computing, Internet of Things, and Beidou positioning to achieve all-weather dynamic monitoring of fishing vessels’ maritime operations. At present, the system has provided services to more than 4,000 local fishing boats, assisting the local fishery administration department in mitigating the impact of disasters caused by typhoons or heavy rains, and at the same time providing more guarantees for the safety supervision of fishing operations.
"After being equipped with a digital fishing boat system, I can now go out to sea with more peace of mind." A fisherman from Yangxi County, Yangjiang City said that through China Unicom's "Smart Notification" application, the status of the boat can be sent to family members information; when encountering extreme weather or emergencies, he can also immediately send rescue information through the client, call the police with one click, and promptly request relevant management agencies to carry out rescue work.
Smart fishing boats are “online” in real time
5G weaves a dense maritime “prevention and control network”
Maoming City is located in the southwest coastal area of Guangdong Province. The city’s aquatic product output ranks first in the province, and there are 1,140 fishing-related vessels within its jurisdiction. In recent years, with the occurrence of various safety hazards such as frequent fishing vessel accidents, increasing difficulty in rescue, and difficulty in punishing illegal operations, the government attaches great importance to the development of modern fisheries.
China Unicom has strengthened its network coverage along the coast in Maoming, providing stable voice, data, positioning and other digital services for the production operations of fishing-related livelihood vessels. When a fishing boat encounters danger, it can realize "one-click call for help" through the red distress button configured on the ship's positioning terminal, and the call for help information and location information are simultaneously pushed to the grid administrator.
In addition, in order to further strengthen fishing vessel safety supervision and services, China Unicom has built a "smart fishing vessel" information system in Dianbai District, Maoming, to achieve real-time monitoring of vessel information and timely dissemination of typhoon and other information Early warning and real-time warning for violations of regulations such as going out to sea and cross-border fishing have now escorted 1,140 fishing-related vessels in the region, providing a strong guarantee for the sustainable development of the marine industry.
