According to news on January 28, according to the official WeChat account of "Shenzhen Energy", Shenzhen Energy's Shanwei Red Bay Six offshore wind power project was officially approved by the Shanwei Municipal Development and Reform Bureau.
According to reports, this is Shenzhen Energy’s first offshore wind power project, and its subsidiary Sheneng Ocean Energy Company is responsible for the development, construction and operation.
The project is located in the Red Bay waters of Shanwei, Guangdong Province. The site center is 33 kilometers offshore, with a total installed capacity of 500 MW and an annual designed power generation of approximately 1.75 billion kilowatt hours.
In the next step, Sheneng Marine Energy Company will base on Guangdong’s strong marine province and Shenzhen’s energy and sea wind development strategy, actively promote the preliminary work of the project, and ensure that construction starts within the year.
According to statistics, nearly 60% of wind power equipment in the global market is currently produced in China. As of the end of 2022, the global cumulative installed capacity of offshore wind power reached 57.6 GW, and my country’s cumulative installed capacity reached 30.51 GW. , accounting for 53% of the global market share, my country’s cumulative wind power export capacity is 11.93 million kilowatts, covering 49 countries and regions.
